In class, we were assigned to groups and tasked with using the AI tool Notion to create a presentation on another AI tool, Jenni AI. My group, which included Richard, Alexander, and David collaborated by taking notes on a shared Notion document and using its AI features to refine and expand our ideas.
As a first-time Notion user, I faced a learning curve in navigating its features. Another challenge was that our group worked remotely, so we couldn’t brainstorm ideas in person. Instead, we relied on a shared Notion page for real-time collaboration and communicated through Zoom breakout rooms.
To streamline our efforts, we divided the presentation into key topics and assigned individual research tasks. Since Jenni AI helps organize things like research and papers, I experimented with using one of my earlier blog posts on Morse code and the digital revolution to reorganize my ideas and see what the tool could do. It proved to be a very useful tool that gave me recommendations on rewording my paragraphs and had available space to store research information or images if necessary.
Despite this setback, Notion AI proved to be an effective tool for facilitating remote collaboration. This experience highlighted both the challenges of adapting to new platforms and the potential of AI tools to enhance group projects and presentations.
